I will stamp all over 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Ex twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making massive earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Physical Difference

As both boxers participated in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
