Note: Key plot points for the third episode of Campaign 4 are included.
The Warrior Group Introduced
Episode 3 concluded with a dramatic pause and presented the first table of characters who will separate from the primary party to begin their independent quest, distinct from the additional parties.
The Soldiers table features Teor (brought to life by Travis), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (the cast member), Wicander (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).
Dividing the Cast
Given a large ensemble, it was obvious from the start that having everyone at a single group would be unworkable.
Hence, the initial installments of this story serve as an Prelude, weaving together the individual narratives before splitting into three separate parties: Soldiers, Planners, and Seekers.
What Defines the Warrior Group
As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for participants who prefer a traditionally charged battle-oriented narrative style where non-violent answers are rare.
At first glance, characters like the squeamish cleric the cleric might appear unsuited, but the developments of the third episode show why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.
Reasons to Leave
For one thing, the group understands precisely where to proceed after a brutal first encounter with The Crow Keepers.
A former ally of Thjazi—whose passing initiated the narrative’s action—used the foes for his own means, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, striking Thimble, and stealing all the magical artifacts to dispose of.
The antagonist then cleared his debts and fled to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the urban center, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.
Personal Motivations
Moreover, each adventurer has a specific drive to leave the city the metropolitan area:
- Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, desires vengeance.
- The knowledgeable figure knows Timmony and cautions that it is a dangerous environment.
- Tyranny and The healer, having defied his family’s wishes to eliminate Teor and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
- But, their status as prominent individuals in the influential clan could assist the team enter locations they usually can’t.
- Moreover, The fighter vowed a unbreakable promise to The savior for his deliverance and will now follow him anywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
Lastly, all of them are hunted by the authorities that rule the setting for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally too risky:
- Thimble and The hero are known criminals.
- The warrior and The cleric betrayed the powerful family and the legion of demons they are allied with.
- The fighter is targeted for elimination by the family.
This means them no alternative but to travel to Timmony in search of the antagonist.
